Britney's back, I guess.

MTV should get an environmental award for how many times they recycle Britney Spears. At their annual Video Music Awards, Britney, somehow, won three video awards. I had no idea she was still relevant.

I just don't understand how many of the young folks I work with day in and day out say her music "sucks" but she still ends up winning these awards. Is it just image? I'm guessing so.

To her credit, she atoned for what critics said was a horrendous performance last year.

I don't think British comic Russell Brand will be coming back for another host job. That was horrible. Check out any clips on YouTube of this clown's act.

I confess, I actually enjoy Britney's music. I just don't think many people will own up to that!

Sad that her life has turned out the way it has though.

The price of fame.

Bella...to be honest with you, after the first couple of records/hits she put out, everything she did after that didn't sound unique to me anymore. But then again, it may be just because I am getting older my taste for music changes.

So just what kind of music are you into?

My taste in music is very eclectic!

Bella...you will think I'm strange but that's ok. Anyway, I like 80s (Men at Work, Huey Lewis, Duran Duran, the Police, Lionel Richie...I know, it's cheesy.), some r&b (Alicia Keys, the Whispers, Luther Vandross, Barry White), oldies (Elvis and Tom Jones), and easy listening (Sinatra, Engelbert Humperdinck, and others). As you can see, my musical tastes are all over the place.

I don't think you're strange at all. I share the same likes in the ones you mentioned.

Of course, "I" may be strange!

I found it very hard to believe that Britney won 3 awards! She never was a performer that I have cared for, but I didn't know that she is still considered so in the mainstream. I thought she was a has-been long ago. I guess to each his own.

I thought the award Britney had garnered was of Tabloid Queen.

But MTV is good about recycling careers. I remember when they had Pee Wee Herman out to introduce the show just a couple of weeks after he was busted on obscenity charges.
