In the McCain campaign's desparate attempt to slow down Barack Obama's momentum, the last couple of weeks have been brutal in terms of the negative campaigning. The namecalling and attacks keep flying in hopes that something will stick.
Three weekends ago, Sarah Palin accused Obama of "palling around with terrorists." Keep in mind that McCain camp hasn't produced one shred of evidence to support this claim. Obama refuted that in the debate. This week, McCain supporters sent out "Robo" calls in several battleground states saying that Obama "worked closely with terrorists." The automated calls are so bad that Democrat and REPUBLICAN lawmakers are demanding that McCain stop the calls.
Now, today, George Voinovich and McCain are calling Obama a "socialist."
So much for running a clean campaign, free of negativity, huh, John?

I enjoyed the debate Wednesday. It was interesting when the topic of negative campaigning came up, both candidates agreed on the negativity of it all.
But then, John McCain couldn't STOP himself and CONTINUED with negativity through out the debate.
Talk about DESPERATION.
Since the last debate, my husband has been paying close attention to the McCain ads, trying to keep track. After every single one that he sees on TV, he says, "Yep, still 100% negative."
Obama has some negative ones too, but not nearly so much as McCain, it seems to me.
Bella and Daisy...it's a joke to hear McCain say he's all about the issues.
You gotta love it when all we hear from the Republicans is how Obama's plans are bad. Ok, then what is it about McCain's economic proposals that we should get excited about? I haven't heard it because it's all anti-Obama.
