August 16th Elvis post

On this, the 31st anniversary of Elvis' death, I decided to post a great song performed by Elvis named, Don't Cry Daddy. This song, as well as In the Ghetto, were written by country star Mac Davis.

Elvis, thank you for the heartfelt music. You are missed.

For whatever reason, I have liked Elvis since I was young. I don't collect so much of his stuff anymore but I just think his music was so true and not "processed" like today's artists in terms of lyrics and production and sound.

Struke, it's true what you said about what music has become these days. It's nice to enjoy some of the "older" (I use that term loosely!) music every now and then!

Are you ready for classes???

Bella...I caught part of Ryan Seacrest's American Top 40 this morning and there are too many artists who's songs sound similar.

I feel ready for class. I am getting anxious and excited. I just have to meet with a couple people and make sure room arrangements are set. Oh, I have to make a few copies as well.

My former high school starts this week with staff reporting for duty on Thursday and the first day of school on Friday.

I hope your crew made it through the week ok.

I think it would be so cool to get a room and stuff ready. I love office supply stores (thinking Kinkos and Office Depot).

That's pretty nerdy of me.

=)

Bella...I feel good about having my stuff ready. I just need to meet with the tech crew folks, which will happen over the next couple of days.
