I watched a lot of the Democratic National Convention coverage last night and came away with one major complaint. CNN, MSNBC, FOX NEWS, PBS...all cut away from Ohio Governor Ted Strickland as he spoke on stage. The networks went to their panel of experts and/or talking heads. I had to go to C-SPAN to watch the governor of one of the most critical states speak.
Oh, and for those of you who didn't see it, Governor Strickland is tough to watch. He's not as polished as others on stage.

Strickland, sadly, is almost as much dull speaking-wise as Taft was.
And that's a tough standard to match.
I cringed.
About Taft...the funniest thing I remember from his great run as governor is the story of him throwing a bowl of cereal at one of his aides. I wonder what kind of cereal it was.
I have enjoyed watching the DNC. Has been very inspiring and exciting for me!
Unfortunately, I'm the only one in my house that has enjoyed it although I did *try* to make my boys watch.
